FreelanceSwitch is authored by a trio of independent freelancers, who offer up useful instructions on doing business on your own, and doing it right. You might recognize their “Top 10 Signs You Might Be Charging Too Little” from a recent front-page item on Digg, but it doesn’t stop there: Freelance Switch has a lot more to say, from tips for overcoming your fear of pitching new ideas, to taking care of your internet persona. It will make a friendly addition to your current family of RSS subscriptions.

Jason Kottke is a full-time blogger, contributing interesting bursts of thought and information to an info-hungry internet. His subtle humour and excellent taste makes him an excellent blogger, and he should be: he’s been doing it for over 9 year. Kottke always seems to know about what’s new and what’s happening on the web and in real life, and although we haven’t quite deduced how he manages to know everything, we find great benefit in subscribing to his RSS feed. We like to think of Veer as our grown-up distant cousin. Did you know Veer started out in Calgary, just like us? True story. Now, they’re one of the graphic design industry’s most reputable family members, offering fantastic stock illustration and photography (and more) for anybody to purchase. They run a short-and-sweet blog called “The Skinny,” which was kind of an inspiration for our own site. As Calgary-based bloggers, we salute you, Veer.
